September 2015 has seen the entry into force of a further Investment Promotion and Protection Act (IPPA). This was announced by the Mauritian Minister of Finance and Economic Development and the Zambian representative on the 20th September. IPPA are important ancillary treaties to the existing double tax treaty with the UAE which was entered into in 2007. The entry into force of this IPPA is a further sign of Mauritius importance as a gateway into Africa.
