Mauritius already enjoys one of the better treaty networks in the world, regarding investment into Africa. This month has brought further news regarding the expansion of that network with the following news announced:
11th March 2017 announced that Ghana and Mauritius have signed a tax treaty in Port Louis. We will bring further news when details are released.
12 April 2017 announced that tax treaty between Gambian and Mauritius the negotiations have been concluded.
12th April 2017 announced that tax treaty between Malawi and Mauritius the negotiations have been concluded.
12th April 2017 announced that tax treaty between Gibraltar and Mauritius the negotiations have been concluded.
12th April 2017 announced that tax treaty between Malawi and Mauritius the negotiations have been concluded.
6th March 2017 announced that tax treaty between Jersey and Mauritius has been signed.
So, all in all a busy period on the double tax treaty front and a sign that Mauritius is continuing to be the pre-eminent location as a hub for investment into Africa.
